Hi and Welcome!!
I’m Emily, the founder of Pace Yourself Physical Therapy, an platform for online education. Additionally, I’m the pelvic floor physical therapist at Roots And Wings Midwifery and I am incredibly passionate about the work I do. Every day I help people with their pelvic floor health- whether they are dealing with pregnancy & postpartum changes, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, tailbone injuries, pain with intercourse, urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, bladder or bowel dysfunction, diastasis recti, or post-operative problems. Physical Therapists have been treating pelvic floor dysfunction for over 40 years, but most people don’t know that physical therapy can help with these problems.
I interact with patients every day who tell me “I had no idea that this could happen to me!” especially after having a baby. We spend so much time looking at what can happen during pregnancy or delivery but we do not devote nearly as many resources to the changes that can happen, especially to the pelvic floor, after having a baby.
My mission is to fill the knowledge gaps of what a pelvic floor physical therapist can add to your every day function here on this platform. There have been a lot of changes in my life in the last four years and some of my programs are currently on hold as I am changing the existing programs & building new ones, but if you want more information about working with me in person - please send me a message!
